Hey everybody, it’s Under My Cat, and welcome back to another video! Today, I’m going to be showing you nine new particles that have been added to Minecraft 1.16. These particles are probably the best I’ve seen in all of Minecraft, just because they look awesome and fit the themes really well, making everything look so much better. I’ll be going through each particle, showing you the command you can use to execute each one, and I’ll also provide the name of the particle. After doing a lot of digging through the files, these are all the particles I managed to find. Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and check the socials in the description. Let’s get started with our first one! You’ve probably all seen the normal particle for the portal. This particle here is different from the portal particle, which gets sucked into the middle. Instead, this one stays put and shrinks over time. This is really cool if you want to create a hidden portal that you can walk into and teleport somewhere else, or just have a cool walking trail. I’ve actually done a tutorial on my channel about advanced particles, so you can make particles follow you. It’s really cool, and I like it because it moves slowly. You can always change the speed slightly to make them fly around, which looks great. If you want to get this particle, here’s the command: slash particle reverse portal, positions 2 in the middle (which means it will be two blocks high), spread 3, 4 for x, y & z, speed 0, and count 1. If you want it to be forced or normal, it doesn’t really change anything. If you put it on force, the particle will always be visible in the chunks; if on normal, it will disappear after you walk away for a bit. The next one is entity effects, which you’ve probably seen before. Entity effects are just a particle that appears around entities, showing the effect of that entity. As you can see, it has a dark bluish color, almost black. With this update, you can change its color. If I add the speed of one, you’ll notice the spirals change to different colors. This is great if you want a multicolored particle effect. The name for this particle is MC effect, so if you want to use it, just copy that. Next is landing obsidian tear. This comes after the obsidian tear, but I’ll show this one first because it might make more sense. This particle drips off the crying obsidian. Once it drips, it becomes falling drips and turns into a splat, which looks really cool for creating a walking trail or a rain effect. You can always adjust the spread if you like, so if I set it to three, three, three, it will spread out everywhere, making it look like rain. The particle effect is called dripping obsidian tear. If you want to use the landing version, it’s called landing obsidian tear, and it looks a bit similar except that it doesn’t spawn in. The command for it is “landing obsidian tear.” Now, let’s talk about the white ash. The white ash is a really cool particle that appears in one of the Nether biomes. It looks great because it spreads out a bit. You can see it over the blue carpet, and it gives a windy effect in Minecraft. The direction actually changes over time, so as you can see, it’s moving one way now, but it should shift direction soon. To copy this particle, use the command slash particle minecraft: white ash. This will place it two blocks above, spread three, and has a force count of one. Now, let’s move on to the normal ash, which is literally just ash. It can be a mixture of white and dark ash, and I really like this one because it falls in one direction. It stands out nicely against sandstone, so I would definitely use this. The next one is warped spore. I’m not exactly sure what it is, but it looks kind of crazy. It’s like the ash particle but goes everywhere, and it looks really cool. All of these particles are great for creating trails. My last two favorites are soul fire flame and just plain soul. Soul is one of the coolest particles, with a fantastic animation. You can see how it transforms into this brown thing and then into a cool blue soul face. This is the particle that appears when you have soul speed and walk over soul sand with soul speed boots. You could create trails with it, and for more info on that, check out my advanced particle command tutorial video on my channel. Lastly, we have the soul fire flame. This is probably the coolest particle; it’s a blue flame that looks amazing. It’s especially stunning at night, glowing beautifully. That’s all the particles I have for you today! If you come across any more, please comment down below. I appreciate all your comments and do read and respond to them. If you have any video suggestions, feel free to share those in the comments too. That’s about it for all the particles in this update. If new ones come out, I’ll make a video on them, so stay tuned.
