Hey everybody, it’s UnderMyCap, and welcome back to another video. Today, I’m going to show you how to use snapshots in Java Edition. Many of you have commented that you can’t access the new update for Minecraft, and that is because you have to install behavior packs. So, without further ado, I’m going to show you how to fix that. As you can see, I’m on the latest snapshot. I’m going to hit play just to show you that I am indeed on a snapshot. Now that it’s open, we’ll move on to the next step. You can see I’m currently still on a snapshot, and it looks like normal Minecraft. What you want to do next is hit “Create New World.” Unfortunately, you can’t add this to your old worlds; you have to create a new world. This makes sense because Mojang doesn’t want to be responsible for damaging existing worlds. I’ll just leave the world name as “New World” and set it to Creative. Now, you want to go to “Data Packs.” Here, I can see that we have a data pack button called “Bundles” and “Update 1.20.” This encompasses the whole new update. I’m going to click on this little blue arrow that pops up and hit “Done” when both are in the selected area. Then, I’ll hit “Proceed” and “Create New World.” Now, when we hit the inventory button, you’ll notice that we have the new update. This is the 1.20 update. If you’re in a future version, you may have different added features. You can see all the new stuff that they’ve been showcasing. That’s about it! If you enjoyed the video and it helped you, please leave a like and subscribe; it would be greatly appreciated. This question has been brought up so much, so hopefully, this helps clarify it. Unfortunately, this method does not apply to Bedrock; I think Bedrock has a different version called Minecraft Preview, which is only available on Windows 10 and 11. Thank you so much for watching, and I can’t wait to see you in the next video. See ya!
