So, Minecraft Live 2022 is just around the corner, and I thought it would be cool to predict what will be announced during the event. I could be right; I could be wrong, or very wrong. However, please remember this is a prediction video, and also make sure to leave a like and subscribe if you enjoy it. Now, with every Minecraft Live, it’s pretty hard to predict what’s going to be added, as no one really knows—it’s kind of kept a secret and usually pretty random. This can be seen in the Wild Update and the Caves and Cliffs; nobody really knew what they were going to include apart from what had been hinted at the year before. But it’s really cool; I kind of like that element of surprise. In this video, I’m going to suggest a few things that I think could possibly happen, but there’s a high chance they won’t make it into the game. I’ve been looking through all the past Minecraft Live events from 2018 to 2020, and I found a few similarities and trends among them. In 2018, the community voted and introduced campfires, foxes, berry bushes, and a whole bunch of other features. They also mentioned the savannah and desert biomes, which were not voted on, so they were subsequently ignored. However, I noticed that in 2019 the Badlands were introduced as a potential update. Now, the Badlands is, if you don’t already know, like a desert region; it feels like a mix of a desert and savannah. It’s quite unusual, as it’s full of clay and other odd features, and I thought it would be a strange update. I don’t know if others would have minded it, but since it’s such a rare biome to spawn in, it felt odd to focus on it. Then, I thought that it might actually be a part of the deserts that Mojang wanted to update. Since no one voted for it, they provided everyone with a second chance to express their interest by voting for it, making it seem like it was indeed a choice. Continuing from the 2019 Minecraft Live, in addition to the Badlands, we had mountains and swamps, which included frogs and other features. The community voted for the mountains, resulting in the Caves and Cliffs update following the next year. In 2020, please keep in mind that swamps were mentioned, but unfortunately, they didn’t win the vote. However, they introduced boat chests that people appreciated, though frogs and mangrove trees were not included at that time. Now, all this leads me to one specific thing that I feel will be added to Minecraft. I really hope it happens because it feels quite unused, but I believe that Mojang will update the deserts and savannahs. In the 2021 Minecraft Live, they introduced the Wild Update, which included features that were mentioned in 2019, like swamp biomes with frogs, boat chests, and mangrove trees. Unfortunately, the swamp did not win the vote because it didn’t garner enough support; however, Mojang added it in a later update, significantly improving it, which I personally love. As we saw, the desert biomes were mentioned several times in past years—2018 and 2019—but they didn’t receive votes, and maybe people weren’t as interested, but I have a feeling that Mojang will revisit them. They view it as an opportunity to enhance the game. Instead of dismissing the desert biome when it didn’t win votes, they could find a way to include it later by introducing the Badlands, as the Badlands sound more appealing than deserts. Another reason for my prediction is that during the Caves and Cliffs update, Mojang planned to add an archaeology update, where players could discover archaeology zones to uncover treasures and create custom pots. However, they postponed it, citing it would be too much work. I understand their reasoning, especially with the added pressure from the pandemic, which likely caused many delays. I don’t know of a better biome to implement this than the savannah; it feels more fitting for archaeology than the desert. So, if they are going to add the archaeology update, introducing it alongside a savannah update would be perfect. There were also discussions about new fighting mechanics, with Jeb exploring various options. I’m not sure if that will be added or if it’s still in development, but I see potential there. I think it may involve faster eating, bow stability, and different cooldown times for weapons. I’m looking forward to seeing if that actually becomes a reality. With Minecraft Live, there’s typically a biome and/or mob vote, which has been happening for a long time. I’m pretty sure we’ll see this again this year, but it’s hard to predict what will be included since it’s always a surprise. I know that a few weeks before the event, they usually release teasers explaining each option to prepare players for the vote, but that information remains a secret until the event. Thank you so much for watching this video! If you enjoyed it, don’t forget to leave a like and subscribe. This is one of my first videos making suggestions for what Minecraft could potentially include in the future. Hopefully, this went well. As I said before, this video doesn’t guarantee that any of these features will be added to Minecraft; these are just my thoughts and suggestions. Thank you so much for watching, and I can’t wait to see you in the next video. See ya!
