Minecraft Let’s Play Episode 6: We Went Fishing and Started Fresh!

Hey everybody, it's under my cap and welcome back to another let's play video where today we're back in our let's play world and unfortunately we have well I accidentally died. So we're pretty much from square one. Luckily we have a whole bunch of resources which I put away before we died. So we've got plenty of iron. When I mean plenty, we have like 8 9 10 11 12 13 iron. We have plenty of copper. So we are we're set. I mean, pretty much last time all of our ores and stuff or sorry, all of our tools and everything was made out of copper, so we should be okay, I believe.Start off with, I guess. I keep on opening that one chest up. Let's just smelt as much as we can with our charcoal. I'm going to just put it in here. And we're going to have to get it all sorted out. We still have not named this little guy over here, unfortunately.I am recording too many episodes. I know that's right. I'm recording too many episodes and just because I I'm loving this already. So, when the actual episode airs, which is in 2 days, if you believe it, we will hopefully have a name for you. Even if the video doesn't get a lot of views, that one viewer that has the most likes and has the best PG. I know you're getting excited. a PG like everything okay name. Uh we'll give it to you.Let's go outside. I love this amazing world. It is wonderful to be back in here. Um and you can see over here this crop land is thriving. We actually have some wheat growing now. Um I'm going to pop that. Did we only get one seed? Really? Okay. Well, let's just harvest this to Oh, hang on. Hang on. There's seeds everywhere. It had a full explosion. Okay, seven wheat seeds. That is amazing.Now, I'm actually going to start planting the crops over here and bring it down to the front just because it is like a little bit inconvenient, but we do have eight wheat seeds, which is nuts. That's actually a really good start. And soon to be more as well.Now, we did have a tree that grew over here last time. So, I do need to put a water under it because you can see some of these blocks apart from this one. I accidentally did that one wrong. Um we do need to put this into farmland as well.Oh my gosh, we have a bunny. I didn't know bunnies spawned in this biome. That's interesting. Um you know, I I love to collect my berries even though I complain about them too much.Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I don't have anything to block that creeper off. Okay. No, we're running. We're running. We're running. Um I really don't want that creeper to come in here because I have a really really bad experience with these creepers. I just can't seem to like hit them correctly.Oh god. Really? No. That's kind of one of the weaknesses with this farm. But you know what? Let's just do spots. So, for now, let's just put all the wheat here. I know this is very odd, but you know, if we can get the seeds into the ground sooner, we'll start to get all of our crops growing faster, which is great.Now, I think that creeper is gone. I'm going to let it walk off. I'm going to let it walk off. Let's go down these steps very carefully while we let that creeper go off and do its own thing, we're going to craft our resources.Do I have any wood? I feel like I lost it all. I feel like Yeah. So, we're going to need to get some wood. Um, let's just get this. I can't believe we're going to be back at the wooden. That just seems terrible. Um, this actually, do we have any sticks? Any sticks? I may have put them in like a wrong chest.We have a stone sword. That's better than nothing. Um, no. Oh, but I might take that fence because we can block that creeper off and then we don't have to worry about it.But let's go and get some wood first.I'm going to also have to start replenishing all of these trees because you can see I've made a massive dent on like the whole footprint of this world. So, we have to be mindful about that. But that is aok.Okay. So, let's just come over here, chop this wood down. Amazing. So, it's actually really good. I've actually seen comments from the first episode we put up so far. And there is so much positive feedback. I'm so happy that everyone's loving this kind of new take on Minecraft all over again. Um it's really cool to see, you know, all of you guys like it.I do need to try and make these videos engaging. I do know that this is like the first start of the series. So, like just bear with me. It's going to be a slow start because I'm a little bit slow with this game when I'm playing it properly. Um, but you know, over time when we get up to episode 100, if we make it that far, this world will look so different. I'm sure the videos will be different as well.Maybe I'll be talking differently, but it is very, very cool. In fact, maybe I should predict what's going to happen. I reckon that this series will keep on going.Okay. Why Why do we get that horrible sound when I say that? That's actually horrible. Let's plant that back. That was terrifying. Um, I hope that means that the series is going to keep on going.Anyway, I think it will keep on going. Um, I'm hoping maybe we'll have some special guests visit this realm because it I do host this on a realm, so I can access this anywhere, but it also means that I can have one other person on this world at a time. Um, I pay for the cheaper realm. Um, maybe I'll upgrade that in the future, but it'd be cool to have some special guests from well, you know, friends I made from Rec Room come and visit.Wow, this tree's got a lot of saplings in it.But yeah, it would just be cool to have some guests come along, maybe leave like a little present.And I also kind of want to make this whole world like more not scripted, but like have some sort of backstory. So I want to have some sort of something that's exciting. You know, every time you see an episode pop up, you can be, "Oh my gosh, I'm so excited. What's going to happen next?"So until then, um it's just going to be a normal let's play, I guess. Um it's going to be weird for me to keep on doing this, but you know, it is fun.And yeah, I encourage everyone to do this with their free time cuz it is just such a fun thing to do.And perfect, we have replanted the area that we mined off. We also have some spruce logs. So, let's go and reward ourselves with some fresh new tools.And also, because I guess we have like It takes a long time to smelt them. Uh, but let's go to this crafting table. Let's craft ourselves some fresh wood. Let's craft ourselves some sticks. And let's craft ourselves one of each. Just like this. We're going to need the copper hoe again.Okay, perfect. So, we've got some armor on. We're all armored up. We've got some tools, which I do need to switch into my actual hand. So, let's do um this. I am aware I just put that in the wrong slot.And just like that, amazing. So, we've got that sorted. Now, let's harvest those other crops which are freshly ready to be harvested. I have no clue if using a hoe gives you like more seeds, but we'll find out.Okay. I don't think so. Oh, maybe. Oh, did that one just grow up? It did. Okay. Awesome. So, let's put these in like this.Isn't it nuts? Look at this. We've got so much so much crops now. This is definitely going to grow out. We have 13 wheat. Oh, make that 14. Look at that.Oh, I want to put this firefly bush somewhere as well. We'll put that. We'll put it somewhere else. But for now, let's just ho these.I feel like this is going to be a regular problem. Like look, watch this. When I come down these steps, I think it's because of this. Yeah, it's because of this. So, I think they do have to just be rotated back around.No. Okay, that might be a big problem. We'll have to be mindful going up and down these stairs and like swimming across. Does that do anything? No. Okay, let's go down carefully.This guy needs to start growing soon because we want to put a water bucket under there. Then that should fill this area up.Oh, there is a that tree. I wonder if that's annoyed anyone. I apologize everyone. Let's fix that error right now. I don't remember filling that gap up. I know I got the fence to put that in, but I swear.But let's get this tree like this. Perfect. Amazing. Look at that. Now we don't have a floating tree anymore, which is great. So, that is good. We've got some more wheat.That's looking really good. Um, and these berry bushes are producing way too many berries. Like, this is ridiculous. Look at this. Ouch. 42 berries. We've got 42 berries just from that. That's nuts. Like, we're not going to go hungry at all.Let's go around here. Um, in fact, we can make our first loaf of bread, right? Can we do that? We just need to go to here. A loaf of bread. Look at that. We have five loaves of bread.Let's celebrate our first piece of bread with our unnamed dog. Um, and celebrate.Now, unfortunately, this guy doesn't eat bread. I respect that. Let's get you something that you can eat so we can eat together. I'm going to grab some rotten flesh. Surely we have something better. Something better than that. We don't.Sorry, mate. You're going to have to eat this. But together we can eat our bread like this. And I might eat one more. Yes. It's yummy, isn't it? It's really good bread.And just like that, we have eaten our first loaf or baked and eaten our first loaf of bread. That is actually so cool.Ouch.Now, another thing I noticed as well is we've got a very like populated river of fish. You can see there's fish down there. We also have a lot of drown. So, let's see if we can get rid of these guys first.Perfect. So, with this pond in mind, I believe we can just go up to these fish and just hit them. And yeah, then we have another food source. So, if we can just do that and get heaps of fish, we should be good.Are there any Well, hang on. There was only one one fish. I swear there were more fish when this series started.There more fish over here. Hello. Any fish? Fish. Fish. Fish. Fish. Fish. Wow. Okay, I take that back. It's not really a populated river at all. One fish. One fish. Okay. Well, we we found two fishes.Hello. Any other fish? Come on. That has to be another fish. Hello. or any fishes in here. Okay, that looks dangerous. Um, we don't have anything to go down there.Oh, wow. Okay, look at this. We just had a full family of fish here. Oh my goodness me. Look at this. Amazing.Let's go up. And luckily items float. So, we can just grab those items like this.And dude, I wonder if it's easier to just fish like surely using a fishing rod would be more efficient than this, right?I think so. So, let's just go up. Wow, look at that beautiful sunset. That is amazing.Now, I feel like I should be using vibrant visuals. That is one of the things that I need to figure out, right?So, do we stick with our old resources or do we go to the brand new vibrant visuals? I feel like we stick with the old old resources.Oh, why why did it get lighter? I thought sunsets get Oh, okay.Wow. Okay. These guys are are fast at acting. What the hell? I mean, we can have you as a guest. Welcome. Welcome to my house. This is my house.Awesome. Let's just go straight to bed. That is a great idea.Yes, it is a brand new morning and we're ready to start the day. Big woof.So to start the day, my controller is deciding to disconnect from the actual game itself. So, let's see if I can use this. No, I literally cannot.Wow. There there is some major delay right now. Um, see how it goes. We have five fish and we need to get some more coal to cook that fish up.I'm really interested in making a fishing rod. So, let's do that. The reason why I'm interested is because I feel like it's one of those underused things that I just have not used ever. So, I feel like today is the day we should use it.Is it two string or is it three string? It's two, guys. We got our first fishing rod. Look at this.Whoa. And it's so cool that my controller is deciding to just play up right now as we speak. Um, but not to worry, we will just reconnect the controller like so. And just like magic, we are back in the game with a terrible connection still.Oh, what? I used my fishing rod for the first time. Wow. Okay, that wasn't right. Um, let's go fishing.Let's go over to our little fishing lake. There's like a little little pond over here. So, let's go over here. This looks pretty cool. And let's go fishing. I haven't gone fishing for a long time in this game, so keep my eyes out.Oh, hang on. And just like that, we lost the fish.Um, I don't like how far it casts it out. Like, can I cast it there? cuz I actually can't see it properly. But now I don't know if they've actually changed the look of a fishing rod in Minecraft or if it's always looked like this. But I don't think they have changed the look of it.Okay. Here. Yes, we caught a fish. We caught a salmon. We caught a salmon.Throw it out there. That is really cool. Wow. No, it's really nice to have that like calm music in the background as well. Um, oh, another one. Oh, we got a raw cod.Pretty cool. This is actually a really good way to get food. This is seriously like this is really good. Genuinely really good.I'll just wait for another one. And boom. Look at that.Now, I've noticed in lots of these videos of like survival games now in Minecraft, lots of people cut this out, but it kind of like it is actually nice. I mean, lots of people will probably double tap the screen to skip through this section, but like it it's good to just have a like a deep breath.What is that? An unbreaking fishing rod. Okay, interesting.But yeah, like you know, if we cut out the moment of me going, "Well, what's this?" Like, no one's going to know how I got this unbreaking fishing rod. Like, I feel like these are key moments that you need to keep in a video.Okay, now we're catching unedible food. Um, I don't know if you need to change spots, like if it's probably preferred to switch to a different spot. This music that's playing right now is very different.Come on, fish. Or random stuff like string. Did I miss that? Okay, that's interesting. Let's try a different fishing spot.Let's try this spot right here with our friend, Mr. Drown. Mr. Drown, please do not swim into it.Um, oh, it looks like A am I clicking it too late?Okay, something's not right if like when you put the fishing line in the water if like um There we are.I was going to say if you could see fish like walk up to it. I like how And also, sorry, this is kind of changing the topic. I love how drowns are friendly during the day. Like, I don't know why he's interested in me, but he doesn't want to hurt me.Oh. Oh, wait. Wait. What the hell? It's not night time. Wait. That Okay. Well, I just jinxed myself. Is that not how it works?I swear they don't hurt you. But that one looked like it was having a hard time not hitting me until it just had to hit me. But that's okay.Come on. I need more food.I can see a lot of fish down there as well, which look like they could easily be hunted. But for the sake of fishing, we're just going to fish. And oh, look, we got another one in.Okay. Well, we got we caught a piece of string, an unbreaking fishing rod, three raw cod, and two salmon. Let's go and cook that salmon.Oh, in fact, is there something that cooks food faster? I think it's called like a smoker. Smoker. Oh, I didn't mean to do that. Smoke.Should we make a smoker? So, we just need to craft another another furnace or we could just break this furnace cuz we're out of cobblestone if you believe it or not. So, we just do this and this is our smoker.So, it should cook the food faster I believe. So, if we just put the salmon in there. Wow, look at that.Yes, indeed. It is really efficient, isn't it? Wow, that is super duper fast. So, let's Yep. Let's do this and put the raw cod in.Wow, that's actually really That's really good. Oh, it's animated as well. Look at that.That is so cool. Okay.So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to put the copper ingots in here. And I'm going to just put the string and like additional stuff that we don't really need in here. Uh, that's food, the rotten flesh. So, we'll chuck the rotten flesh in here. We have seven cooked salmon, which is absolutely awesome.Again, I need to put the copper back in here. Put the wood back in here as well. So, we don't we don't actually have a furnace anymore, but that is okay, I guess.I think that's I think we're pretty good. We got back on our feet.Um, let's quickly go and check the farm before we end this episode.It's a little bit shorter this week. Um, well, actually, you know what? I might put two videos out this week cuz I'm having a lot of fun with this.Wow, we've already got some wheat that's already grown over here.Let's just jump up. Harvest this five from that. Amazing.
