Yes, I said it like that because every single company is adding AI into their products. Let’s see what Rec Room is doing with this. You’ll see the Maker Pen has this cute little green thing on top of it. Oh, there we are. Okay, we’ve—hello there! How are you doing? Hello! I’m doing great, thank you! How about you? I’m doing very well, thank you. This is kind of cool! Oh, I like that it has a little Rec Room logo on top. You’re my coach, right? Yes, I’m here to help you with your virtual space. Awesome! So, you can see this room that we’re in right now is very ugly; it literally has nothing in it. We’re going to be using Maker AI to decorate it. I’m sure it will work just the way I’m expecting it to work. Are you going to work correctly? Yes, I’ll do my best to help you decorate. That’s good! So, without further ado, let’s get straight into the video. I’m going to drop the Maker Pen because I think I’m here to decorate the room. What would you like to do first? I’m sorry, okay, let’s just switch to my point of view so you can see what this looks like. You can see I’m holding this little coach in front of me, and it seems like it can only hear me when I’m holding the Maker Pen. So if I drop it and keep on talking—looks like you’re referring to a couch. How would you like to arrange your decor? Okay, let’s pick this up. I want to make this dorm into the best dorm in the world, but it’s looking a little bit bland. Can we maybe add a bed? Okay, it opens up a menu. I think that wasn’t intentional. Oh, wow! I’m thinking I want a cozy type of bed. So, what do you think my favorite color is? Blue! Wow, okay, I’ve created a co—That is sick! Okay, so it spawned the bed in. That’s perfect, but there’s something wrong. The bed is in the wall. So, can we maybe make it not in the wall? Oh, okay, awesome! Can you see where I’m looking? I want you to put the bed right on that wall. Are you there? Can you hear me? Can you please put the bed like in front of this wall, please? I think I broke it. I think I’ve broken it. Oh, okay, I love it! I love how you can ditch it! Can you please move the bed to this wall where I’m looking? I think I’ve actually broken it. There’s no way I’ve broken it. Okay, so you can reset it by just clicking this reset button. Hey, Maker AI, how are you doing? Oh wow, okay, so I’ve actually broken it. I’m really broken. Is it like—Hello, Maker? You there? Hello! How are you doing? I’m here and ready to help! Awesome! So, see this bed that you put in before? Can you maybe put it in front of me, like on this wall? Wow, that’s kind of useful! I can imagine that being really helpful in rooms. So, see this bucket in front of me? Can you put that on top of the bed? Wow, okay! See this mirror in front of me? Can you unfreeze it and move it behind me? Oh, okay, it’s gone. Orange, it seems, the mirror. Okay, that’s fine. Okay, this is very cool! Now I want a pet dog. Can you put the pet dog next to the bed? Oh, that’s so cool! Wow, okay, thank you very much! Now, maybe can you put the dog where the bucket is and put the bucket where the dog is? I’ve moved the dog to the… It got close enough, which is quite good. So, it seems the dog and the bucket have been swapped successfully. If you need any— Not quite successfully, but that’s okay! Just let me know. Okay, thank you, coach! So yeah, the dog is on the bed, kind of on the bed, and the bucket wasn’t moved properly, but that’s fine. So it’s done something to the mirror; it actually looks like it’s replaced it with wood, which is interesting. Now I’m going to do another test. Okay, so now that we’ve got a bed, a floating dog, and a bucket that’s not in the right spot, it’s time to do a little bit of testing to see how powerful this tool is. So, let’s grab it out of my backpack. Hey, coach, how you doing? And get straight into this! Sure! If you have any specific requests or need help with something in the virtual space, feel free to let me know. Can you put the bucket on top of my hand? It looks like you want to place the bucket since you’re looking at the wall. Let’s place the bucket on or near the wall. Would you like me to put the bucket on the wall or just beside it? How about we put it on my left hand? It looks like placing a virtual object on a specific part of your body isn’t something I can do right now. Can you take the coordinates of my left hand and set the bucket to those coordinates? I’m unable to directly access or use real-time coordinates of your… Interesting, so it seems like it can’t actually detect your hands and stuff, which I mean is fine. It doesn’t really matter. It does use this little beam thing, so if I point it at this dog over here and say, “What’s this in front of me?” You’re currently looking at a dog. Okay, so you can use the pointing stream, which is actually super useful. So, okay, I want you to delete all the lights in the room. Wow, okay! Now I want you to set the sky dome to black. Okay, and can you maybe move the sun so that it’s the moon instead? Like, can you set it to nighttime? Wow, okay. That is actually really useful! Now I can see that being super handy in just room creation. That’s so cool! Okay, so now we need a desk. Can you see this wall over here? Can you place a desk at that wall, please? It’s really struggling right now. I’ve placed the desk beside the wall. Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like to do. Okay, so it has done a really good job; it placed—wow, it’s placed the desk! Very nice! Can you change the desk in front of me to wood? The desk has been changed to a wood color. Let me know if there’s anything else you need. That’s pretty decent. So it’s set to like a brown cardboard. That seems fine. The walls are white cardboard, and I have seen that you can actually change them. So see this wall in front of me? Can you make it like a Minecraft-type of theme, but not Minecraft ’cause that’s copyrighted? *wink wink* Okay, so it’s doing that right now. That’s very cool! So when it’s generating an image, it puts the Rec Room logo on, which is pretty cool. I was a bit of an idiot for accidentally deleting the lights. Oh wow, I’ve applied a blocky, pixelated texture to the wall, giving it a retro game-inspired look. Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like. Wow, okay, that is actually a really, really useful feature! So I want you to place five items on a desk that would make logical sense. So place five items that would make sense on a desk. This is a big test; let’s see if Maker AI can place five items on a desk that make sense. So we’ve got books. Books are good. It’s not on the desk; it’s in the wall. That’s fine, but it’s going to place five items: one, two, three, four, five. There’s six! So, has it placed it like in the wall? Okay, so it’s still thinking. Oh, we got a notebook! Okay, that’s very cool. It’s got a custom texture on the front. Oh wow, okay, it’s doing something! Wow, it’s actually cool being able to see how it’s thinking. So books—it’s thinking logically that books would make sense on the desk. I’ve placed five items on the desk: a modern book stack, a thin notebook, a cozy book nook, a thick notebook, and a small thick book stack. Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like! That is cool! Can you place them on the very top of the desk? So see where it’s brown? I want you to place it on the brown part of the desk. I get it; it’s logically thinking that it’s put on the desk, so it’s putting it on the side, but it actually is doing a really good job. So this is the last test I want to do. I want to see how it logically places the books on the top of the desk specifically on the brown. Okay, thank you so much! Can you make them look like they’re laying on the desk? Because currently, right now, they’re standing upright, and books usually lie flat on the table. This is the last test; let’s see how this works. Okay, I’ve rotated the books, so they are lying flat on the desk just as you wanted! Let me know if there’s anything else you like with that.
