Hey everybody, it’s UnderMyCap and welcome back to another video! Today, I’m going to be showing you how to make days in Minecraft go much quicker. As you can see, the sun is actually moving a lot faster. So without further ado, let’s get straight into this video. First of all, what we need is a command block. To get a command block, we will need to use the command terminal. If you’re on Bedrock, simply hit the little chat bubble at the top. We want to type in “/give @s command_block.” You can also specify your player or any other player if you want to give them a command block. Once you’ve typed that in, hit enter, and you’re given a command block. The second step of this tutorial, and it’s pretty simple because it involves only one command, is using the time command. Once you place your command block down, open up the terminal and type in “/time add.” You’ll see a few other options, but we are just going to focus on “add.” Next, we are going to add “1.” Now, once you do this, a few things will pop up: ‘d,’ ‘s,’ and ‘t.’ Here, ‘d’ stands for day, ‘s’ stands for seconds, and ‘t’ I believe refers to ticks. What we want to do right now is use ‘t.’ You can see that, once we do this, there’s nothing else you can add in the command. Make sure you don’t have any spaces in front of it, as sometimes that can cause issues. Set the command block to “Repeat” and “Always Active.” You will see that the sun is indeed moving a bit faster than normal. If I turn this off just to show you what it looks like, you’ll see that with the command block off, it’s not actually glitching. To exaggerate this more, let’s set it to 10, and you can observe that the sun is moving extremely fast, speeding up the day. You may also notice my chat in the bottom left corner going crazy. To turn that off, as I know it will drive many of you nuts, we need to go into the command chat again and simply type in “/gamerule commandBlockOutput false.” This will prevent the command from spamming our chat. Now you can see where the sun is—wow, the day is actually going by super fast! We’re heading into sunset, and before you know it, we’ll be at night time. Let’s see—wow, now we are at night. I do have full brightness on my Minecraft client, so everything looks a bit brighter, but you can see we’re in nighttime, and the moon is moving very quickly. Let’s try it with ‘s,’ which I believe corresponds to seconds. Whoa, hang on, the day is going really quickly! It’s like a stop-motion film. But yeah, that is the command in a nutshell. I’m going to turn this off now because I believe the video may be difficult to film with all this flashing. Let’s break that command block. If you enjoyed the video, don’t forget to leave a like and subscribe! I can’t wait to see you in the next video. Also, let me know in the comments what I should do next!
