How to Get and Use Emotes in Minecraft Bedrock!

Emotes are one of the coolest features in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. They let you add a bit of personality and fun to your game, especially when you are playing with friends in multiplayer. In this guide, I will walk you through how to access, use, and customize your emotes so you can show off some expression in the game.

Why Emotes Are So Fun

Emotes are a great way to make your Minecraft experience more lively. Whether you want to wave, dance, or pull off a silly move, there are loads of options to choose from. Best of all, you can customize them however you like, which makes them super cool for playing with mates.

How to Access Emotes on Different Devices

Getting to your emotes depends on which device you are playing on. Here is a quick breakdown:

  • Keyboard players: Hold down the B button and a set of numbers will pop up in the corner. These are four keybinds you can use for your emotes. If you want a quicker method, just click B once and an emote wheel will appear. You can then drag your mouse to select the emote you want.
  • iPad players: Look for the little button at the top of the screen that looks a bit like a player.
  • Xbox or PlayStation players: Press up on the d-pad, which is the little plus icon.

How to Customize Your Emote Wheel

Customizing your emotes is easy. Just follow these steps:

  1. Go into your Dressing Room.
  2. Navigate over to the little dancing Alex skin icon.
  3. You will see all the emotes you own. If you scroll down, there are plenty more you can buy. The ones without a coin next to them are the ones you have already unlocked.
  4. Pick the emote you want, then hit the Equip button in the corner.
  5. Choose which slot you want to override, and you are all set!

Once you have equipped your emote, head back into the game, press B, and you will see it ready to use.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

One small downside is that you cannot move while doing an emote. For example, if you use a faceplant and then start walking, the emote will turn off. Still, it is a really cool feature and a fun way to add some flair to your gameplay.

It is a shame that emotes are not available in Java Edition by default. You can get similar features through clients like Lunar Client or Badlion, but it would be nice to see a bit more functionality added to Java in the future.

Final Thoughts

Emotes are a simple but brilliant feature in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. They are easy to access, fun to customize, and perfect for adding some personality to your multiplayer sessions. Give them a try and see which ones become your favourites.
