Hey everybody, it’s UnderMyCap, and welcome back to another video. Today, I’m going to show you how to display item durability in Minecraft Java Edition. This is super simple to do, and all you need is a very straightforward command with your keyboard. Unfortunately, this won’t work on Bedrock Edition, but if you’re on Java, don’t worry; this will work for you. First, you want to make sure that you can hit the F3 key. When I hit F3, all of this debug information pops up. If you do not see this on your computer, make sure to press the FN key on your keyboard at the same time as the F3 button. When done correctly, you should see the debug menu appear. The second step is to press the F3 button along with the H button at the same time. After doing this, you’ll notice that the debug information pops up and says “Advanced tooltips shown.” This means it has been enabled. Don’t worry; as soon as you enable it, you may not notice any changes to the item, apart from random gibberish NBT text at the bottom. To actually display the durability, you need to use the item for a little bit. For example, let me put down a pig and get rid of it. You’ll see that the durability does pop up. If you found this video useful, don’t forget to leave a like and subscribe. I can’t wait to see you in the next video. See ya!
