How to Clear Massive Areas in Bedrock Minecraft on Xbox, PS5, Java PC, Switch, and PE

Welcome to our comprehensive guide for Minecraft players. If you’re looking to clear large areas of land in Minecraft Bedrock Edition across various platforms like Xbox, PS5, Java PC, Switch, and Pocket Edition (PE), you’ve come to the right place. With this tutorial, you’ll be able to clear land efficiently and effectively using commands. Before diving in, ensure you’ve enabled specific settings for a straightforward process.

Enable Coordinates Display

First things first, make sure that you have coordinates displayed in your game. This is essential for executing commands accurately. To do this, navigate to the game settings:

  1. Click on the Settings button on your platform.
  2. Head to the Game tab.
  3. Scroll down and find the option labeled Show Coordinates.
  4. Switch it to On. You’ll see coordinates in the top left corner of your screen, which will be crucial for the next steps.

Please note that these commands require you to enable cheats, so you won’t be able to perform this in a standard survival world without them.

Selecting the Area to Clear

With coordinates active, identify the area you want to clear. Consider a space where you might build something, like a house. Here’s how to select the area:

  1. Identify the highest and lowest points of the land you want to clear.
  2. Visualize a rectangle covering this area from above.
  3. Fly to the highest point first and note down its coordinates. These will be essential for your command.

Example: Let’s say the highest point has coordinates (6,114, 74, 173).

Now, move to the lowest point and note down its coordinates as well. With both sets, you are ready to clear the area.

Executing the Clear Command

Open the command terminal in your Minecraft game to execute the land-clearing command. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the command terminal (usually with the “/” key).
  2. Type in the command: /fill
  3. Input the coordinates you noted earlier. You can start with either the highest or lowest point.
  4. After entering both coordinates, specify air to clear the area.

Here is how your final command might look: /fill 6114 74 173 6114 60 173 air

Please make sure you have inputted all coordinates correctly. Be cautious — once executed, this action cannot be undone.

Success: Land Cleared!

Upon entering the command successfully, you should see the land cleared instantly. This method allows you to remove trees, tall grass, and any structures present in the designated area, leading to a clear space for whatever creations you have in mind.

Video Transcript

Hey everybody, it’s UnderMyCap, and welcome back to another video! Today, I’m going to show you how to destroy and clear massive amounts of land on PS4, Xbox, Minecraft PE, and everything related to Minecraft Bedrock. First of all, before we start this command tutorial, you can see that I have coordinates in the top left corner. This is required to make the whole tutorial a lot easier. To do this, you will need to go into your settings by clicking on the settings button. Then, click on the Game tab and scroll all the way down to where it says “Show Coordinates.” By default, this will be off; all you want to do is turn this on, and it should show you the coordinates. You will need cheats enabled, as this will not work in a survival world, unfortunately. Once you turn this on, you’ll see the coordinates in the top left-hand corner, and we can continue with the video. The area you want to clear is visible; I want to clear this area with lots of trees here so I can build, let’s say, a house. You can see I’ve got a tall pillar over here and a small section over there. You’ll want to select an area diagonally in length. If I go above it, I’m going to do a little visualized drawing here, but you’ll see that I’ve selected a little area with two sections—one being the highest point of the area and one being the lowest point. Simply fly over to those sections; I’m going to fly to this tower and write down the coordinates. I happen to have a piece of paper on my desk already: 6,114, 74, 173. This is the highest point, so you don’t need to remember the highest point, but that’s that. Now, I’m going to hover all the way down to this section and write down this coordinate. Now, before we get to the command, don’t forget to leave a like and subscribe; it would be greatly appreciated and helps the channel out a lot. Now, for the part you want to clear, I’m going to open up the command terminal. You want to type in “/fill,” and we’re going to type in our coordinates. It doesn’t matter which ones you type in because they will cover the same area. I’m going to type in the highest point first, and then, I’m going to type in the next set of coordinates. Before we proceed any further, make sure you’ve got these correct because you cannot undo this. Once I’ve done this, we’re going to type in the area we want to fill it in with; I’m going to use “air” because we don’t want to fill it with anything. As soon as I hit enter, you’ll notice that the whole area has been cleared. And yeah, that is how you clear massive amounts of area!
